Amazing Technology That Allows Blind People To See Again

People that are blind or partially-sighted have to go through so many different things in life. Everything is hard without your vision. Recognition and reading devices are on the top of the tech innovation wishes for many IT and tech specialists. Different gadgets and devices are researched that could combine with smart glasses, tablets and smartphones in order to make life better. It is easy to find data about summer tech camp that is organized to talk about vision technology but what was actually created? This is what we will focus on next.

Smart Glasses With Assisted Vision
The University Of Oxford works hard to offer a pair of glasses that could help people with low sight to go around places that are unfamiliar, recognize the appearance of obstacles and basically become more independent, according to Dr. Stephen hicks. Most blind people do have some sight remaining. Smart glasses are now at the point at which they can actually increase the vision that people have with the use of transparent OLED displays, a gyroscope, a GPS unit, a compass, 2 cameras and a headphone. The prototype that was created is capable of offering promising results. Augmented reality can easily fit in and improve the experience in the future.
AI Glasses
In Mexico, at CINVESTAV, you can find a really interesting pair of glasses that combines artificial intelligence, computational geometry and even ultrasound techniques, to mention just some of the technology included. The glasses are designed for helping people that are visually impaired. The option that is presented is ergonomically acceptable, light weight and really similar to regular glasses. Soon a marketable product is going to hit the market, according to the creators. The problem is that one pair will most likely cost between 1,000 and 1,500 dollars. Investors are now required. The company that created these AI glasses is Qualtop.

Braille Ebook Reader
Yank Design initially brought forth a concept some years back and now we are faced with something that is quite interesting. We are basically talking about a Kindle that is great for the blind. Braille is not seen as important as it was but the truth is that it is really useful for those that can read Braille and that would want to use a simple ebook reader. The project is called Anagraphs and creates Braille dots on the surface of the tablet.

Arianna App
This app is one of the best available at the moment since it can take advantage of all the technology that already exists. Arianna manages to solve a difficult problem for people that have sight problems. Unfortunately, it only works after using specific colored tapes that would mark out routes, similar to what you see in hospitals.

Vision technology is going to always be a priority for many individuals. It is quite difficult to make breakthroughs since so many things are still not known about the blind. However, it is not at all difficult to be faced with surprises in the future.
